Stilborn Family
It is always a pleasure catching up with + capturing memories for the Stilborn family. This year I had the pleasure of meeting Coralee’s parents and capturing memories for them with their granddaughter. Their little gal is pretty lucky to have so many grandparents in her life. <3
Ray - Graduation
What a fun and unique graduation session! Ray incorporated all aspects of her personality, and kicked off leaving highschool with a BANG. It was a pleasure to meet her wonderful family and to have the honour of capturing this transition with them. <3
Macpherson Family
I would argue that toddlers are my favourite humans to capture. They are just so fun! We play games, we laugh, we run and jump- that is what sessions are all about for me. It’s about capturing who your kiddos are, in this moment, to remember forever, and I am so happy with how that goal was accomplished with these three.
Cross Family
This sweet family took me up on one of my themed sessions this year- and it turned out SO DANG GOOD! So so happy to have captured these with them. Laundry lines, chickens, laughs, and laughs between sisters- sign me up!
Mann Family
Such a pleasure to capture yet another milestone in this family’s journey. We explored a beautiful spot down at Crooked Lake, ran through the birds, embraced the wind, and shared some laughs over sisterly bickering.
Justine + Nate
Another lovely evening spent with Justine and Nate - this time capturing their engagement photos! Their farm is so fun, and there are soooo many beautiful spots to choose from. I love their love, it is so fun, vibrant and contagious. We always share so many laughs and capture genuine moments in the process.
Halushka Family
What a BEAUTIFUL session this was. I always love having families out to my farm to tour around. We explored old barns, canola fields, and a beautiful field of pink flowers- which I had never seen before this year. Brenda and her family share such a special bond, and it was such a pleasure to capture it.
Abby - Graduation
“I want you to have full creative freedom” is the first thing Abby said to me when we started this session- and so that is what we rolled with! We got creative with lights, locations, poses and angles, and that created magic. I couldn’t have been happier to have spent the evening exploring and sharing laughs with her and her family.
Sara - Graduation
Spent a beautiful June evening with Sara and her lovely family. We explored the beautiful Melville dance studio, capturing Sara’s last moments in a studio she has spent most of her life in. Then we ventured out to her generational family farm to capture photos in the glow of the summer sunset with her horses, cows, and the people who mean the most to her heart.
Caleigh - Graduation
Caleigh and her mom made this session so special. They slowly and thoughtfully filled out the questionnaire I sent them so that we could make sure this session reflected Caleigh’s soul- and I think that is exactly what we did. Nature, good music, and eclectic old-soul vibes.
Alexis - Graduation
Talk about my dream graduation photoshoot. Horses, cows, the beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley, endless fields, old barns- need I say more?! Alexis and Nate invited me to capture their country love as they transition to the next phase of life, and it was such an honour.
Kaeley + Dustin
I lovvveee when couples get photos taken just for the heck of it. It is so important to commemorate the different stages of your journey. It was a pleasure catching up with Kaeley and Dustin this year. We always share so many genuine laughs.
Melissa + Mike
What a way to cap off my wedding career (for now, haha). Spent the day basking in the laughter and silliness shared by these two’s friends and family. We explored downtown Kelowna, hit the beach, and braved the crisp winter air for some truly once in a lifetime photos. I couldn’t have been happier to capture these.
Humes Family
You know those people that you meet for the first time and feel like you’ve known forever? That’s how I felt with the Humes. I was invited into their cozy farmhouse on a frosty November evening to capture moments of them enjoying their sweet new baby, and it was an honour.
Joanie + Chris - newborn
Year after year I have had the pleasure of capturing this dynamic duo. From freezing our bums off in the harsh Saskatchewan wind, to galloping through fields during an August sunset, we thought we had seen it all. Turns out we were wrong- meet little baby L. It was an honour to be invited into their home to capture these precious moments as they embarked on the journey from two, to three.
Bucsis Family
Third consecutive year capturing this family’s fall photos. It is always wild to me to see how much kids grow in a year. We spent this year’s session exploring fields and backroads, blowing bubbles, and eating lollipops.
Sydney + Travis
Personally, I believe all couples should invest in photo sessions every few years. It gives them time to slow down, enjoy one another, and reflect on the years they’ve spent together. That’s exactly what I had the pleasure of doing alongside Sydney + Travis. These two share such a unique bond. A silent, trusting comfort just emanates off these two, which made these moments unfold with such ease.
Alyssa + Ryan
Had the pleasure of travelling to a brand new spot in the valley to capture these unique maternity photos for Alyssa and Ryan. Fall in the valley always leaves me speechless. I was happy to bring Alyssa’s vision to life by incorporating all the elements of nature in their shoot.
Houdek Family
It’s always a lovely time capturing memories for this family. Fun > perfect is always their goal, and it makes for the most beautiful, candid, meaningful images.
Rebecca + Trevor
I am honoured to be asked time and time again to capture special moments for this family. Not going to lie, this session started out a little shaky. Their little man was not feeling photos, so it took us about a half hour before we could get started; but hey, that’s ok! That is toddlers, and that is 10000% ok and welcome at your photoshoot with me. Patience is at the top of my list. We ended up with some of my favourite announcement images to date- capturing the beauty of fall, and some last moments as a family of three.
I’m not in it to stage a perfect moment. That’s not me - never has been.
I’m in this industry to capture authentic moments as they unfold.
That’s what I promise to do during your session. I don’t promise to stage you and pose you until ever last finger and toe look “right.”
But I do promise to seek out the perfect moments happening organically around you, and to preserve them in time.
That’s my job. That’s what I’m here for.
